Meet Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley—and if employment challenges were a video game, I’d be the one unlocking secret levels and helping others beat the boss battle. With over a decade of experience guiding job seekers through the twists and turns of workforce re-entry, I specialize in empowering people, leading high-impact programs, and building community connections that last longer than your average office coffee.
About Me
I’m a program manager with over ten years of experience working in employment services and community-based programs. Most of my work has focused on supporting people who are navigating workforce re-entry and dealing with real, often complex barriers to employment.
I’ve facilitated workshops, provided one-on-one coaching, and advocated for clients across systems that aren’t always easy to navigate. I’m comfortable balancing community needs, stakeholder relationships, and day-to-day program delivery—and yes, usually with a coffee nearby.
My background includes leadership, policy interpretation, systems and data management, and clear, practical communication. I know Victoria’s social services landscape well and keep a close eye on local labour market trends so programs stay relevant and useful.
One of my favourite roles was managing the employment centre at Our Place Society. I started there as a part-time Job Coach and moved into the Manager role, leading a team of three staff and twelve volunteers. I worked closely with employers, strengthened internal processes, and focused on making programs more inclusive and accessible.
While at Our Place, I created People in Progress and Women in Progress—programs designed to meet people where they were and support them toward stability and employment. The idea was simple: progress looks different for everyone, but with the right support, it’s always possible.
